“Do you remember one of the first times you came to Gladeview to pitch your company and we showed you the Raymond video?  The housekeeper that went way out of his way to give a part of himself to a resident.  Spent the few extra minutes with the resident to make her more comfortable etc.?

Well yesterday afternoon I witnessed a scene from that video with one of your staff here at Gladeview.  Jose was working in room 209 and was sitting down and having a nice discussion with one of our residents and she was truly enjoying his company.

My presence unfortunately disrupted this special time as I think he felt he needed to immediately jump back into housekeeper mode which was unfortunate.  After he had left the resident spoke to me and went on and on about Jose.  How nice of a guy he was, a very hard worker and how much she enjoyed the fact that he went out of his way to have some simple conversation with her.

This is obviously something I would prefer to encourage not discourage.  I did offer some praise of the situation with Dionicio [Heritage Manager at Gladeview] this morning, but really want to make sure this gentleman truly understands the positive impact of his actions and am hopeful that you can recognize him in some way and encourage the rest of the crew to follow his example.

It was a great thing to see especially as we are starting the training for the Planetree initiative that is going ahead full bore at this time”.
